The holidays are here and with them comes tons of joy, extra cooking, fluffy blankets, and hot drinks (plus our holiday gift guide)! This is the first holiday season that we’re in Seattle (instead of San Diego). The colder weather and winter gear is definitely adding to the overall feel of the holiday season. Something we haven’t experienced in a long time! Don’t get us wrong, we absolutely love San Diego, but there’s something about palm trees and 75 degrees that doesn’t exactly scream winter. We have always gravitated toward cozy things and somehow all the blankets/candles seem that much more appropriate in slightly colder weather.
We have crafted our very first gift guide of 12 items (plus a few stocking stuffers). Aimed at, but not necessarily only for, those with chronic conditions. Hopefully this may alleviate some of the stress that comes with the holidays (or at least give you some items to add to your own wish list!).
Although this time of year usually encompass lots of wonderful aspects, there’s still a huge amount of stress that typically comes with. There are presents to buy, food to make, and for all of us with invisible illnesses, there is the added stress of how we are going to manage physically. We always worry that we’ll let loved ones down and won’t be able to participate in all the activities we’d like to. So ……… let’s stop and breathe, try not to tackle too much per day and remember to be good to you!
